New Delhi: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently in prison for his alleged involvement in the skill development scam, faces additional corruption allegations in the Amaravati capital city inner ring road case, in which he is accused No. 1, as per TOI.
Naidu, along with his son Nara Lokesh and former minister P Narayana, is accused of altering the alignment of the inner ring road (IRR) to benefit a real estate company named Lingamaneni Estates, resulting in financial losses for farmers.
In exchange, it is claimed that the Naidu family received the Lingamaneni guest house as a gift, providing them with free lodging. A CID investigation further revealed that the Naidu family’s Heritage company had acquired land and that public funds were utilized for renovating the guesthouse, all without officially declaring it as a residence.
On Monday, the CID submitted a request to the ACB court, seeking a transit warrant for Naidu, who is presently held in Rajahmundry jail as a remand prisoner.
