In Thackeray’s Absence, Sharad Pawar Meets Shinde, Adani In Separate Meetings

Mumbai: In a surprising development, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar, held a meeting with the Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, at CM’s residence Varsha. This marked their first meeting since the transfer of power in Maharashtra.

The meeting holds significance as former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is currently on vacation abroad with his family. He is expected to return to Mumbai in the first week of June.

Following the meeting, Pawar took to Twitter and mentioned that he invited Shinde to a program commemorating the 75th anniversary of Maratha Mandir, a charitable institution established in 1945 by the late GG Gawde, also known as Babasaheb Gawde. Pawar highlighted the importance of educating people and raising awareness about their rights through strong institutions.

Pawar’s tweet further revealed that he discussed the challenges faced by actors and technicians in the Marathi film and theatre industry. He requested Shinde to organize a meeting to address their grievances. However, contrastingly, Shinde stated on Twitter that their meeting was simply an exchange of greetings.

Later in the evening, businessman Gautam Adani also visited Sharad Pawar at his Silver Oak residence in Mumbai, leading to further speculation in political circles. However, Pawar did not disclose much about the meeting. As per media reports, Pawar had explained the meeting with Adani by stating that a delegation from Singapore had approached him to meet industrialist Gautam Adani regarding a technical issue.

The unexpected series of meetings involving Pawar has triggered curiosity and speculation about their implications.
