Bus Carrying Over 40 Passengers Falls Into Gorge In Himachal Pradesh; Several Injured

Mandi: Authorities reported a tragic incident that occurred on Thursday in the Mandi region of Himachal Pradesh, where a bus carrying more than 40 people went off the road and fell into a gorge. According to the local police, some passengers on board suffered injuries as a result of this terrible incident.

Tragically, a bus operated by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) veered off the road, resulting in injuries to numerous passengers, including the driver and conductor, according to the police.

Soumya Sambshivam, the Superintendent of Police in Mandi, stated that the incident occurred early on Thursday morning close to Kharodi, which is located in the Karsog subdivision of Mandi district.

The local administration acted quickly, sending ambulances to the location and starting emergency rescue efforts with the help of the local community. People who had been hurt were taken right away to the civil hospital for treatment.

The driver, conductor, and other passengers who sustained injuries in the accident are now said to be in stable condition.

The eyewitnesses present at the time of the incident said as the bus rolled into the gorge, it somehow got stuck between two trees, preventing it from falling farther.

The police are currently investigating the matter. The exact cause of the incident is yet to be known.
