Performing a Reverse Image Search with relevant keywords, we traced a Facebook page carrying the same viral video on September 24, 2022. The video is titled: “A daughter turned against her mother”. The caption further reads: “Are parents working for BJP unaware of BJP conspiracies? Take care of your children. Because your children learn great things by looking at the outside world and observing society. Your children have started a journey towards humanity. That is why children should read great studies. After studying history, they will learn the wisdom of the world. They can observe truth and falsehood.”
The same video has been also uploaded on another Facebook page, dated April 22, 2022, with a caption: “Mother put Modi’s photo in the house, educated daughter protested against putting Modi’s photo in the house.” Another Facebook page also carried the same video on April 19, 2022.
Although we could not ascertain the exact time and location of the viral video, it is evident that it has been on Internet since 2022, and cannot be related to the recently concluded Karnataka elections.
