A video is widely shared on social media, claiming that US President Joe Biden endorsed former President Donald Trump in one of his speeches saying that he cannot win the re-elections, only Trump can. 

A Facebook user posted the viral post with a caption: Biden: “We cannot win this re-election, excuse me, we can only re-elect Donald Trump.”

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.

We can see Missouri written on the podium where Biden is standing. Conducting a Google Keyword Search of the words he’s speaking in the viral clip along with the place on the podium, we identified a Facebook Live video on the official handle of FOX4 News Kansas City, streamed on March 8, 2020. 

The 47-minute long video titled: Joe Biden at WW1 Liberty memorial, shows Biden’s address in Kansas City, Missouri, in March 2020, long before the presidential elections in the US. At the 39:20 mark, we see Biden say the exact same words as the viral video, but later on completes his sentence by saying, “…..Excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump if, in fact, we get engaged in this circular firing squad here. It’s gotta be a positive campaign, so join us”

The latter part of his sentence is missing in his speech in the viral video, which indicates that it has been clipped to mislead people. 

Searching further, we came across a YouTube live stream video, titled: I’m about to take the stage from Missouri. Tune in to watch live: streamed on March 8, 2020, on the official channel of Joe Biden. 

Here too, we can see him speaking the complete sentence starting from 13:55, as opposed to the viral clip. 

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming Joe Biden endorsed Donald Trump for re-electing him as US President in his recent speech, is misleading.
