FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post and found it to be false.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, we identified many posts with a similar claim on several digital platforms. Under one such video in a tweet by an unverified user, we found a quote tweet stating that the original ad is from CEAT. The user also provided a link to the original ad.

The link in the tweet led us to a YouTube video, titled: Savings at Supermarket – CEAT Fuelsmarrt Tyres, dated June 8, 2017, on the official channel of CEAT Tyres.

The ad matches exactly with the viral video except for the message, about not voting for BJP or Modi, at the end. Given that the ad was launched in 2017, there is no way it would have been politically linked to the upcoming Karnataka elections.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show a political campaign video asking people not to vote for BJP, is false.
