Washington: US President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced that he will run for re-election for the presidency in 2024.
Taking to Twitter, Biden launched a video and claimed that the upcoming elections will be a fight for democracy and personal freedom and said “Let’s finish the job”.
Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours.
That’s why I’m running for reelection as President of the United States. Join us. Let’s finish the job. https://t.co/V9Mzpw8Sqy pic.twitter.com/Y4NXR6B8ly

Hitting back at Donald Trump, Biden in the launch video said “MAGA [Make America Great Again] extremists” taking on Americans’ “bedrock freedoms, cutting social security … dictating what healthcare decisions women can make, banning books, and telling people who they can love, all while making it more difficult for you to be able to vote”.
He further said “It is not the time to be complacent. That’s why I am running for re-election. Because I know America.”
