Performing a Reverse Image Search, we found America’s San Francisco start-up website Forteon carrying the same viral video, dated February 14, 2019. The product showcased on the website is a motorcycle airbag that aims to increase safety on motorcycles. The patented motorcycle airbag provides protection to the rider from all directions in case of an accident. The campaign to raise funds for this project was started in 2019.
Forteon has launched its product on Indiegogo, a US-based company, and has also released a video highlighting the product. The video mentions that it gained popularity on social media platforms. Forteon is seeking funding to develop fully operational prototypes for crash testing.
Searching further, we found the same video uploaded on a YouTube channel on February 13, 2019, with the text, “Forteon – AirbagForBike 2019 Campaign.”
Moreover, we did a keyword search but could not find any credible media report that stated motorcycle airbags have been developed by an Indian start-up company.
Thus, it is clear that the viral video does not show vehicular technology developed by an Indian start-up.
