A video of two teenagers singing on a talent show is doing the rounds on Internet, claiming that they were singing the Ramayan TV serial title song in an American talent show.
Facebook users have shared the video with a caption: “Indian idol जैसा अमेरिकन show में अमेरिकन बच्चो ने रामायण सीरियल का टाइटल song गाया और सब की आँखों ने अश्रुधारा आने लगी …..The power of Hindu Rashtra” (English translation: American children sang the title song of the Ramayana serial in an American show like Indian Idol, and tears started pouring from everyone’s eyes…..The power of Hindu Rashtra)

Running a Reverse Image Search on the video keyframes, we identified the same video on YouTube, dated May 11, 2014, with a title: ‘Britain’s Got Talent S08E05 Bars & Melody Duo Rap an original anti-bullying song Simon surprise’.
Watching the video carefully, we found out that the viral clip in circulation has been edited.
Even the verified YouTube account of Britain’s Got Talent carries the same video showing the teen rappers singing an English song against bullying and not the Ramayana title song.
Hence, we can conclusively say that the doctored video has gone viral with false claims.
