A video, claiming that radical supporters of the Ukrainian Church burned the church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Russia, is doing the rounds on social media. Many users have shared the video claiming that this comes on the back of hate speech by Korchinsky asking his supporters to burn the churches in Russia.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with a caption: Those who Begin by Burning Books end up by Burning people.

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, we spotted a YouTube video on an unverified channel, dated January 23, 2023, and titled: горит церковь в Ильинке 4.
The visuals in the video match exactly with the viral clip and the title roughly translates to burning church in Ilyinka 4, indicating that the incident might have happened in Ilyinka — a rural locality in the Pribaykalsky District, Republic of Buryatia, Russia. But the date of posting of the video clarifies that the video has been online since 2013 and, therefore, cannot be related to the ongoing war.
Searching further, we came across a tweet by Shayan Sardarizadeh — a BBC World journalist reporting on disinformation, conspiracy theories, and extremism. Shayan, through his tweet, debunks the viral claim and clarifies that the video of burning church is, indeed, from 2013 from Russia’s Astrakhan region.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming radical Ukraine supporters burnt down a Church in Moscow, is misleading.
