Mumbai: After years of waiting, Apple has finally opened its first retail official store in Mumbai amid the company’s efforts to ramp up the local manufacturing setup.
The official retail store is located in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai and is set to open doors for customers very soon.
Describing the details of the design, the company said that “Inspired by the iconic Kaali Peeli taxi art unique to Mumbai, the Apple BKC creative includes colourful interpretations of the decals combined with many Apple products and services that will be available for our customers to discover,”.
According to reports, the store is set to provide a range of products and services including MacBooks, Airpods, iPhone, Apple TVs, Apple watches, and Home Pods.
Apple’s retail store in India comes as an indication of the tech giant’s interest in growing presence in the Indian market. According to a Bloomberg report, India’s growing middle class is an attractive target group for the company’s pricey smartphones and computers, and Apple is expanding its manufacturing operation in the country too.
