New Delhi: In a shocking incident, six members of a family were found dead at a house in northeast Delhi’s Shastri Park on Friday morning after inhaling carbon monoxide produced as a result of the overnight burning of a mosquito repellent while they were sleeping, Delhi police said.
According to sources, the family had lit a mosquito coil in the house which fell on the mattress. The mattress caught fire which led to the room getting filled with smoke causing suffocation and the eventual death of the family members.
All the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination and further investigations are underway.
