COVID: Delhi Logs 300 Cases In 24 Hrs, Highest Spike Since September

New Delhi: Amid the recent surge in the number of COVID-related cases, the national capital on Wednesday recorded 300 new cases in the last 24 hours, making it the highest surge since September last year.

According to data released by the state health ministry, the positivity rate climbed to 13.89% while two deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

The total number of recoveries reported in the 24 hours stood at 163 while the active caseload stands at 809.

Earlier on Tuesday, Delhi logged 214 cases with a positivity rate of 11.82%. According to reports, the national capital has witnessed a spike in number of cases in the past few days amid sharp rise in H3N2 influenza cases in the country.
