Fact Check: Video Of Overcrowded Palamu Express Fictitiously Linked To Tamil Nadu Migrant Workers

In the wake of the Tamil Nadu migrant workers’ issue, a video of an overcrowded train is doing the rounds on social media claiming that Tamil Nadu migrant workers returning to Bihar.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post, and found it to be misleading.

On closely analysing the video, we spotted the name of the train on one of the coaches which reads ‘PALAMU EXPRESS’.

But the Palamu Express runs between Bihar’s Patna and Barkakana in Jharkhand.

Digging further, we found the same video on YouTube, dated November 16, 2022.

We could not find the original source of the video. So, it is clear that the video is old and falsely linked to the Tamil Nadu migrant workers’ row.
