New Delhi: COVID-related cases continue to spike as India reported 918 cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the Union Health Ministry data, the active caseload in the country stands at 6,350. The active cases stand at 0.01%.
Amid the recent spike in cases, the Health Ministry issued revised guidelines to tackle the infection. The Ministry added “Antibiotics should not be used unless there is clinical suspicion of bacterial infection. The possibility of coinfection of COVID-19 with other endemic infections must be considered. Systemic corticosteroids are not indicated in mild disease.”
According to media reports, top officials are likely to meet today and discuss ways to contain the emerging situation across the country.
Earlier on Sunday, the country reported 1,070 new COVID-related cases with a major jump in daily average cases.
