Washington: Former US President Donald Trump on Saturday claimed in a post shared on Truth Social that he is likely to be arrested on Tuesday in connection with a case filed by the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
Donald Trump claimed that “illegal leaks” from the district attorney’s office indicated that he would be arrested.
According to a Reuters report, the spokesperson of the DA office declined to comment in connection with the claims made by the former US President.
The report further quoting the post added that “Illegal leaks from a corrupt & highly political Manhattan district attorney’s office … indicate that, with no crime being able to be proven … the far & away leading Republican candidate & former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week,”.
He further added, “Protest, take our nation back!”. Trump recently announced his bid to run for the 2024 Presidential election.
