A post in Tamil language is widely shared on social media, claiming that it is the World’s longest river cruise MV Ganga Vilas which leads to the cultural integration of Southeast Asia and development of tourism.

Searching for the images of MV Ganga Vilas on government handles, we identified a tweet posted by Sarbananda Sonowal on February 23, 2023, with a caption: “A historic moment for us all, as the world’s longest river cruise MV #GangaVilas completes its maiden journey at Dibrugarh.”

However, both the images differ from each other.
We found the viral image uploaded on a website with a caption: “Regal Princess cruise ships, sea, sunset, MS Regal Princess, HD wallpaper.” According to another website, the image is of Regal Princess, a luxury ship owned by Princess Cruises from America.
So, it is crystal clear that the viral image does not show India’s MV Ganga Vilas but America’s Regal Princess.
