FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did the fact-check, and found it to be misleading.
Doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found the same video uploaded by Facebook page of Sanskar TV, dated January 9, 2021, with a caption: “Today, Thai Buddhists also celebrate the birth of Ganesha. Bhagwan Ganesha is known popularly as “Phra Phikanet” at Thailand. “Ganpati Bappa Morya”.
BigStock — an online royalty-free, international microstock photography website that sells images via a credit-based system — had also uploaded the photo with a caption: “Big Ganesha statue of Thailand god of bless.”
The official website mentions that the height of the statue of Lord Ganesh is 39 metres with the base. It is situated in The Khlong Khuean Shri Ganesh International Park, Thailand.
Hence, we can ascertain that the viral claim is misleading.
