New Delhi: Amid the recent row over the arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal claimed that most CBI officers were “against” the former’s arrest due to lack of evidence, but were compelled to do so owing to the “pressure” borne on them by their “political masters”.
Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter and said “I am told that most CBI officers were against Manish’s arrest. All of them have huge respect for him and there is no evidence against him. But the political pressure to arrest him was so high that they had to obey their political masters,”.

The tweet comes hours after the arrest of Manish Sisodia by the CBI in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam.
Meanwhile, the CBI on Sunday released a statement on Sisodia’s arrests, claiming he was giving evasive replies and wasn’t cooperating in the ongoing investigation in the liquor scam case.
Delhi Police has beefed up effective and robust police arrangements to maintain any law and order situation ahead of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) protests outside Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Headquarters today.
Aam Aadmi Party is set to hit roads and stage protests across the country on Monday against the arrest of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor excise policy case.
