FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be misleading.

Putting the image through a Reverse Image Search, we found the image in an article by The Hindustan Times, dated February 20, 2023. According to its caption, the image is from Jammu and Kashmir, India.

The same image was also found in a tweet by ANI, dated February 20, 2013. The caption reads: J&K | Cracks & damage to roads in Ramban, 13 houses damaged due to landslides. A local, Abdul Ghani says “13 houses, incl. mine, damaged; 6 of them have completely collapsed. We’ve been given tents & some utensils. We request the government to adjust us somewhere. We’re homeless now.”

Thus, it is clear that the image is from Jammu and Kashmir, India, NOT Turkey.
