FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be MISLEADING.
Doing a simple Reverse Image Search, we identified a news report published by Arkansas Democrat-Gazette on April 9, 2018, carrying the same viral image. According to the article, “While migration makes spring an exciting time for birdwatchers, downtown Little Rock (Arkansas) offered a more bizarre view last week, as several dead birds were spotted in the street.” This clearly means that the image is old.
Moreover, we did a keyword search but could not find any credit media report that suggests the viral image is related to the recent derailment in Ohio.
Meanwhile, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Chief of Communications, Keith Stephens, has confirmed to Lead Stories that the newspaper’s 2018 report was correct.
Thus, it is evident from the above information that the viral image is not related to the Ohio train derailment disaster.
