Unable To Pay For iPhone, Karnataka Man Kills Delivery Agent, Hides Body At Home: Report

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old man allegedly killed a delivery agent in Hassan district because he reportedly didn’t have the money to pay for the iPhone he ordered.

According to reports, the man named Hemanth Dutt, allegedly killed the e-kart delivery agent because he didn’t have the money to pay for the iPhone he ordered and then stored his body in his residence for four days before burning it near a railway station.

The delivery agent was reportedly stabbed when he was inside the house to complete the delivery and collect the payment for the iPhone.

The police carried out an investigation in connection with the case after a charred body was recovered near Anchkoppal Railway Station on February 11.

The report further added that Hemanth Naik, delivery agent, came to the house of the accused on February 7. While delivering the phone, there was an argument over the payment and unboxing the mobile phone when Hemanth Datta allegedly stabbed Naik with a knife in his house.

He allegedly kept his body in a gunny bag, took his body to the railway station on his bike and burnt it. CCTV footage of the accused carrying the body in a gunny bag on his bike while he was on his way to burn the body. Police have further arrested the man in connection with the case.
