Contempt Notice Over Rahul Gandhi’s Remarks On PM Modi, Lok Sabha Secretariat Seeks Response

Date:

New Delhi: Amid the recent remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the parliament, the Lok Sabha secretariat has sought a response from the Congress MP over a complaint filed by BJP’s Nishikant Dubey and Prahlad Joshi alleging breach of privilege.

Rahul Gandhi while addressing the Lower House during the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address, he leveled several questions over the alleged link between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Industrialist Gautam Adani.

According to reports, BJP leader Nishikant Dubey gave a notice of breach of privilege against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

BJP further alleged that the comments were “misleading, derogatory, unparliamentary and incriminatory”. Earlier this week, Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on PM Modi were expunged from the records.
