Many users have shared the video mocking Yogi for getting green-coloured balloons from the organisers. Considering that green is associated with Islam, people are laughing at the CM for receiving green balloons.

Considering that players from both India and New Zealand are seen in the video along with Yogi, we checked for news about the ceremonies from the recent India vs NZ cricket series. We found a YouTube video on the official website of ANI, dated January 29, 2023 and titled: UP CM Yogi reaches Ekana International Cricket Stadium to witness Ind-NZ 2nd T20I in Lucknow.
The video seems like an extended version of the viral clip, and we can clearly see that Yogi was given tricolour balloons towards the end of the video.
Another YouTube video on the official channel of TV9 Uttar Pradesh Uttarakhand, dated January 29, 2023, with a title: CM Yogi Lucknow: CM योगी पर चढ़ी क्रिकेट की खुमारी, मैच देखने पहुंचे थे इकाना स्टेडियम | TV9UPUK, gives all the details about the UP CM’s outing to watch the 2nd T20I match between Ind vs NZ.
We can see that Yogi met the captains of both teams, flew tricolour balloons, and even rang the match commencement bell from the stands.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post’s claim that Yogi Adityanath received green-coloured balloons from the organisers of a cricket match is misleading.
