Bhubaneshwar: In a shocking incident, Odisha Health Minister Naba Das sustained injuries after being shot allegedly by a police officer near Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district.
According to sources close to ANI, the incident occurred when Das was on his way to attend a program at Gandhi Chowk in Brajarajnagar.
According to a PTI report, Brajrajnagar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Gupteswar Bhoi said that “Assistant Sub-inspector of Police (ASI) Gopal Das opened fire at the minister. The minister is injured and rushed to hospital,”.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condemned the attack and visited the minister who is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Bhubaneshwar.
