Baramba: In a tragic incident, atleast one person is killed while several have been reported injured in a stampede-like situation that occurred at the Singhanath Temple in Cuttack during the Makar Sankranti Mela.

Dr Ranjan Kumar Barik, Baramba hospital, added that “One dead while nine were injured in the incident, three were referred to another hospital in Cuttack.”
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed grief on the death of a woman and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs for the next of kin of the deceased.
