Skipper Rohit Sharma played an exceptional and balanced knock as an opener scoring 83 runs with Shubman Gill joining hands and scoring 70 runs.
Kohli managed to dominate against the visitors, as he shattered the records of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar.
The bowling performance continued to play a pivotal role in the victory with speedster Umran Malik securing three wickets. Mohammad Siraj managed to pick two wickets as India registered the first win and took the lead of the innings.
Both the teams will now travel to Kolkata as they will face each other in the iconic venue of Eden Gardens on 12th January.
