We also found a report by Daily Mail dated January 27, 2016, where the screengrab from the same video was present. According to the report, the one-minute-long video was captured between January 22-24, 2016 and shows 48 hours of Storm Jonas in North Virginia.
The same video was also uploaded on the YouTube channel Worse Than Chiggers on January 25, 2016, with the title: Beautiful 48 hour Time-Lapse of Blizzard.
The video description read: This 1 minute time-lapse video captures the 48 hour blizzard of winter storm Jonas that hit the east coast between January 22 and 24, 2016. The camera was set up on our front porch in northern Virginia, USA, and captured 1 frame every 30 seconds. I further compressed it down to 1 frame every 90 seconds to produce this video which culminates with the beautiful sunrise on Sunday morning. You can even see Venus rising in the east just before sunrise. The final measurement on the yardstick was 31 inches or 79 centimeters. It is very interesting to see how the snow compresses somewhat right before sunrise.
Hence, from the above fact check, it is clear that the viral video is from 2016 and is not recent.
