A video is doing the rounds on social media claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited the Sabarimala temple in Kerala without any announcement.

The post is shared with a caption in Malayalam language: ఏటువంటి ప్రకటన లేకుంట శబరిమల అయ్యప్ప స్వామి దర్శనం చేసుకున్న ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోడీజీ !! (English translation: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Sabarimala Ayyappa Swamy without any announcement !!”

We identified the logo and watermark on M7 News in the viral video. Scanning through their YouTube channel to track the original report, we traced the same video uploaded on the channel on April 11, 2021, with a title: Kerala Governor visits Sabarimala | Arif Mohammad Khan.

ABP News also reported the same in a video report uploaded on April 12, 2021. According to the report, Kerala Governor Arif Muhammad Khan and his son offered prayers at the Sabarimala temple.

Thus, it is clear that an old video of Kerala Governor’s visit to the Sabarimala Temple has been shared with a false claim.
