I Am An Employee, Not Your Servant: IndiGo Cabin Crew To Passenger

Date:

New Delhi: In a video that is being shared widely on social media, an IndiGo crew member can be seen getting into a heated argument with a passenger over food choices.

The minute-long video shows a lady crew member from the Indigo flight from Istanbul to Delhi having a heated argument with one of the passengers on board.

A Twitter user who shared the video and was reportedly present on the flight said that the fight broke out when the passenger argued over the choice of food.

In the video, the crew can be seen explaining to the passenger that the flight uplifts a specific number of “counted meals” on board. She further added that because of the passenger one of her colleagues was crying.

The man starts yelling and asking her not to shout at him. To which the crew says “I am shouting because you are yelling at us”.

One of the other crew members on board tried to intervene between the arguments. The flight attendant claims that “I am an employee, I am not your servant,” before moving back and putting her mask on.

According to media reports, IndiGo replied on the incident and added that “We are aware of the incident that took place on flight 6E 12 from Istanbul to Delhi on December 16, 2022. The issue was related to meals chosen by certain passengers traveling via a codeshare connection.”

IndiGo further added that they are looking into the incident and for them, the comfort of the customer is a top priority.
