China ‘Preparing For War’ And Indian Government Is ‘Sleeping’: Rahul Gandhi

Date:

Jaipur: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is currently walking across Rajasthan as part of his Bharat Jodo Yatra, on Friday claimed that China is “preparing for war” against India and the Indian government is “sleeping.”

Rahul Gandhi’s statement came after a week after Indian and Chinese troops clashed in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector in their closest encounter since the deadly Galwan incident.

“China is preparing for war, not for an incursion. See their pattern of weapons. They are preparing for war. Our government is not accepting it. The government of India is working on events, not on strategy,” he said.

“China has taken our land. They are beating out soldiers. The threat of China Is clear. And the government is hiding it, ignoring it. China is preparing for an offensive in Ladakh and Arunachal. And the government of India is sleeping,” Gandhi said.

Rahul Gandhi was speaking at a stopover during the  Bharat Jodo Yatra, in Rajasthan’s Dausa. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was also present.

On December 9, Indian Army troops and Chinese soldiers clashed in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh in which Indian soldiers gave a befitting reply to the Chinese side sending them home.
