Chattogram: Mohammad Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav’s fierce spell blows Bangladesh as they land in big trouble by the end of Day 2 after posting 133 for the loss of eight wickets.
Shreyas Iyer opened the day for India but his innings was short-lived on Day 2 of the match after getting dismissed at 86 runs.
With the tailender to bat, Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav played a dominant and crucial knock of 58 and 40 runs posting a mammoth total of 404 runs for Bangladesh.
Siraj made in-roads on the first delivery after getting the wicket of Najmul Hossain Shanto. Kuldeep Yadav on the other hand picked up four wickets while Siraj managed to secure three wickets on the second day. Umesh Yadav also scalped one as Bangladesh still trail by well over 250 runs.
The play is set to resume for the third day as India will be gearing up to scalp early wickets, taking the lead in the ongoing test.
