Fact Check: Did Hallie Biden Tweet That 2020 Election Results Were Rigged? Here’s the Truth

Date:

The screenshot of a tweet, allegedly posted by US President Joe Biden’s daughter-in-law Hallie Biden, is widely shared on social media in which she claims that the results of the 2020 presidential election were changed in favour of Joe Biden and that Donald Trump actually won. Hallie Biden was married to Joe Biden’s son, Beau Biden, who died from brain cancer in 2015.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.

We could not find any media report corroborating the viral claim. Had Hallie Biden made such a statement, the mainstream media would have definitely reported it.

We could not find any official Twitter handle of Hallie Biden. But there was an unverified account with the username @HalliBiden that remains suspended for violation of Twitter rules.

Speaking to USA Today and Reuters, a spokesperson from the Beau Biden Foundation said: “Mrs Hallie Biden does not have a Twitter account. Any account bearing her name is fraudulent.”

Thus, it is now clear that a fabricated tweet is widely shared as Hallie Biden saying that the 2020 presidential elections were rigged.
