FACT CHECK
Newsmobile fact-checked the viral video, and found it to be false.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, we found an article, titled: Enjoy San Fermin 2017, published on the official website of the UK government on June 6, 2017.
The article informs that the picture is from San Fermin festival — celebrated every year in Pamplona, Spain, from July 6 to July 14 in honour of the city’s first bishop and patron saint Saint Fermín. It matches with the visual of the band in the middle of the viral video.
Conducting a Google Keyword Search for the festival, we identified a YouTube video: GAITEROS!!! CHUPINAZO SAN FERMÍN 2018, published on the official channel of Navarra Television, a Spanish media house.
A lot of visuals and elements in the YouTube video match with the viral clip. The famous Bull running is also a part of this festival.
We found another YouTube video, titled: San Fermin Opening Ceremony 2018, showcasing similar visuals.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral video’s claim that Croatian football fans celebrating their team’s victory in the quarter-finals is false.
