Mumbai: Mumbai Police arrested two men on Thursday for harassing a Korean woman while she was live streaming a video.
The video shows one of the men putting his arm around the woman and kisses her on the cheek.
A senior police official confirmed the arrest, identified the accused as Mobeen Chand Mohammed Shaikh and Mohammed Naqeeb Sadrealam Ansari, both are arrested and sent to 1-day Police custody.
The accused have been booked under Section 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to outrage modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.
The matter came to light after the video was posted on Twitter, to narrate her ordeal, tagging the Mumbai Police.
In her tweet, she said, “Last night on stream, there was a guy who harassed me. I tried my best not to escalate the situation and leave because he was with his friend.”
She further said, “And some people said that it was initiated by me being too friendly and engaging the conversation. Makes me think again about streaming.”

Later talking to the newswire ANI, the streamer said “I don’t want this one bad incident to ruin my whole travel and my passion to show wonderful India to other countries.”

The streamer also said that the action by the local police was taken “very quickly” after the tweet.
