Porbandar: In a shocking incident, two jawans of the paramilitary forces were killed while two were reportedly injured after one of the colleagues opened fire on Saturday.
The paramilitary personnel were stationed for election duty ahead of the upcoming Gujarat elections set to unfold next month.
According to AM Sharma, District Magistrate Porbandar, these jawans belong to a CRPF battalion from Manipur. They were sent here by the Election Commission.
According to a PTI report, one of the jawans opened fire from his assault rifle on his colleagues over some unknown issue. While two jawans died on the spot, two others were injured and were shifted to a hospital in Jamnagar.
