Delhi: Water Woes Continue In Vasant Kunj; Residents Say No Help From Jal Board

Date:

New Delhi: Residents of the Vasant Kunj area are outraged amid a major water crisis situation over the past six days.

According to reports, residents of Vasant Kunj, Sec C-8 say that there has been no water supply there for the last 6 days.

The residents are now dependent on water tankers which they get only after much effort. They further alleged that their phone calls and online complaints to the Delhi Jal Board bore no results to the problem.

Jiten Negi, one of the residents of Vasant Kunj C-8 said that “Half of us keep running to DJB to request a water tanker and the other half keep waiting for water tankers.”

He further added that “We called up all officials of Delhi Jal Board but they didn’t receive calls.” He said that “Tankers coming here don’t have pipes. Should we keep the pipes at home?”

According to reports residents of the C6, C7, C8, and C9 blocks are among the worst affected, as they have been experiencing a severe water shortage for several days.
