Washington: The multinational retail Amazon Inc is likely to lay-off about 10,000 employees from the corporate and technology jobs reportedly by this week.
According to a New York Times report, the job cuts will focus on the device units, including houses voice-assistant Alexa, Human Resource department and retail divisions.
The report further added that the total number of layoffs will remain fluid. According to Reuters, Amazon’s house unit Alexa posted a loss of $5 billion.
Earlier, the e-commerce giant in a statement said that they will freeze hiring in the corporate workforce for the next few months.
