On October 8, 2022, the New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express suffered a snag in the traction motor, which jammed its wheels. It happened as the train hit the cattle earlier.
In the above context, an image of a flat tyre of a train is being widely shared on social media, claiming to be of Vande Bharat Express.
The text of the image reads: “Rail tracks laid by Nehru still intact. Rail wheels launched by Modi crushed in 5 days.”

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did the fact-check, and found it to be misleading.
Running a Google Reverse Image Search, we found the same image uploaded by RMF-magazine, dated March 10, 2013. The caption, when translated into English, reads: “Following a puncture, I have just gone through the entire manual looking for the location of the jack and the spare wheel. If you know the location please notify.”
We found the same image uploaded by a Twitter handle on June 16, 2016, with a caption: “Arrêt aux stands de la BB66000 @Sncf pour crevaison. Une roues changée en 2h16min, nouveau record.” (English translation: “Pit stop of the BB66000 @Sncf for a puncture. One wheel changed in 2h16min, new record.”)
We could not identify the actual source of the image, but the above information proves that the picture in question is old and is nowhere related to the recent incident involving Vande Bharat Express. Hence, the viral claim is misleading.
