PM Narendra Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train on September 30, 2022, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The train would run between Gandhinagar and Mumbai for 6 days a week, except Sunday. This would be the third train in this category after Delhi-Varanasi and Delhi-Katra routes.
Against this backdrop, a viral post, containing two images of trains and Modi flagging them off is doing the rounds on social media. People have shared these images mocking the government for inaugurating the same train twice — in 2019 and 2022.
A Facebook user posted the viral images with a caption: डबल इंजन सरकार का एक ही काम का डबल उद्घाटन। वाह मोदीजी वाह! (English translation: Double opening of the same work of double engine government. Wow Modiji!)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral images, and found it to be misleading.
Running a separate Reverse Image Searches of both images, we found:
Image 1:
A news article — titled: PM Modi inaugurates Ahmedabad Metro first phase, takes a ride, published on March 4, 2019 — on the website of the Indian digital news outlet, The Times of India. The image in the article matches exactly with the first image informing that it was taken when PM Modi inaugurated a part of the first phase of the Ahmedabad metro from Vastral Gam metro station.
Image 2:
Searching for the second image led us to a tweet published on the official handle of ANI, dated September 30, 2022, informing that the image is from the flag-off ceremony done by PM Modi for the third Vande Bharat Express train. The train was scheduled to run between Gandhinagar and Mumbai.

Though the viral image belongs to the inaugural ceremony held in 2019, it has nothing to do with the recent events.
Therefore, the viral post, claiming that PM Modi inaugurated the same train twice, is misleading.
