Indian cricketer, Taniya Bhatia, on Monday took to Twitter to inform that she was allegedly robbed while she was staying at Marriot Hotel in North Maida Vale, London.
‘Shocked and Disappointed’ Bhatia, stated that someone entered her hotel room and stole her bag, which had money, credit cards, jewellery, and watches.
She further slammed the England Cricket Board (ECB) on Twitter for the poor security at the team accommodation.
Bhatiya, who was a member of India’s team for the ODI and T20I series against England, appealed to the ECB to step in and punish the offender.
1/2 Shocked and disappointed at Marriot Hotel London Maida Vale management; someone walked into my personal room and stole my bag with cash, cards, watches, and jewellery during my recent stay as a part of Indian Women’s Cricket team. @MarriottBonvoy @Marriott. So unsafe.

2/2 Hoping for a quick investigation and resolution of this matter. Such lack of security at @ECB_cricket‘s preferred hotel partner is astounding. Hope they will take cognisance as well.@Marriott @BCCIWomen @BCCI
