Srinagar: Residents of Jammu and Kashmir will be able to relive the magic of films as J&K LG Manoj Sinha inaugurates two multiplexes in the Pulwama and Shopian districts on Sunday.
A number of Cinema halls were shut down in the 1990s due to unfavorable conditions around the valley. The multiplex is being designed by INOX in Srinagar.
According to officials, three large auditoriums are being built in the multiplex with a seating capacity of more than 500 people at a time. The auditorium has been provided with the Dolby Atmos digital sound system giving the viewers surround sound for the best movie experience.
The Kashmiri handicrafts ‘khatamband’ and ‘papier mache’ have been used in the cinema hall. LG Manoj Sinha took to Twitter and added “A historic day for J&K UT! Inaugurated Multipurpose Cinema Halls at Pulwama and Shopian. It offers facilities ranging from a movie screening, infotainment, and skilling of youth.”
