Brahmastra Box Office Collection: Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor Starrer Collects Rs 225 Crore Worldwide

Brahmastra Part One- Shiva, helmed by Ayan Mukerji, opened to largely positive reviews from film critics as well as the audience, amid online criticism and recent controversies.

Brahmastra seemed like a fresh breath in the Bollywood industry, the fantasy film had a decen pre-bookings then a fabulous weekend as it collected ₹31.5 Cr. on Friday, ₹37.5 Cr. on the movie’s sophomore and ₹ 39.5 Cr. on Sunday, and crosses the 100 Cr. mark, as the film critic Taran Adarsh says.

The film starring the new Bollywood couple, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Kapoor along with Amitabh Bachchan and Moni Roy, collected ₹120.75 Cr. (In all languages) at the Indian box office over its opening weekend alone, one of the highest ever for a Hindi film, as per the Bolly Movie Reviewz.

Not only that, but the film has also ruled the charts in Australia and New Zealand and opened strong in the US, also considering the absence of Hollywood films. As per US box office tracker Box Office Mojo, Brahmastra Part One- Shiva has raked in $26.5 million (212 Cr.) worldwide in its opening weekend.

The film by the netizens and critics online have got mixed reactions; where a part of the audience loved the new ‘Marvel’ type theme in the Bollywood including the VFX, special effects, and background score, one part of the audience is trending the hashtag – boycott Brahmastra.
