Lucknow: A high-level committee formed to probe into the Hotel Levana fire incident that claimed the lives of four individuals, has submitted its report to the state government.
According to sources close to newswire agency ANI, the report has mentioned negligence as the cause of the fire and held six departments including Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA), District Administration, Fire Services, Lucknow Municipal Corporation, and Excise Department were responsible for the incident.
The report further added that a meeting was held between the Commissioner of Lucknow Division and Lucknow Police Commissioner and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath before submitting the joint report.
The names of officers allegedly responsible for the incident were named in the report and strict action is demanded towards the officers of LDA and Fire Services.
The report further includes names of other hotels built illegally in Lucknow. The report also highlighted and suggested actions against hotels running flouting the guidelines.
Meanwhile, the Lucknow administration ordered to seal and demolish the administration. Lucknow Police had earlier detained the general manager and owners of the hotel.
