Ravindra Jadeja Likely To Miss T20 World Cup Due To Knee Injury: Reports

New Delhi: In a major setback to the India side, all-rounder and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja is likely to miss the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia slated in the month of October due to an injury.

According to a senior BCCI official in conversation with PTI said that “Jadeja’s right knee injury is pretty serious. He is supposed to undergo a major knee surgery and will be out of action for an indefinite period of time.”

Earlier on Friday, BCCI announced in a statement that Ravindra Jadeja will miss out the ongoing Asia Cup games due to right knee injury. The statement further added that he will be kept under the supervision of the BCCI medical team.

According to a source of the newswire agency ANI, “Ravindra Jadeja could be ruled out of the upcoming major event T20 World Cup too as his knee injury needs surgery and he has to stay away from cricket for a long time.”

Axar Patel will replace Jadeja in the ongoing Asia Cup tournament.
