New Delhi: As the impact of Monsoon showers over several parts of the country, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted instances of widespread and heavy rainfall in the next 2-3 days over central India.
According to IMD, Rajasthan and Gujarat are likely to receive widespread rainfall in the next 2-3 days.
The report further added that a depression over east Rajasthan and adjoining Madhya Pradesh moved nearly northeastwards on Tuesday, 50km southeast of Kota, and is likely to move nearly west-northwestward and weaken into the Well Marked Low-Pressure region.
The report further predicted instances of isolated and widespread rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms are likely to hit West Rajasthan and Gujarat on 24th August and hit East Madhya Pradesh on 26th August.
IMD further predicted squally wind speed reaching upto 50kmph is likely to prevail over South and Central Rajasthan in the next few hours.
