West Bengal SSC Scam: Partha Chatterjee, Arpita Mukherjee Judicial Custody Extends Till August 31

Kolkata: The former education minister of West Bengal Partha Chatterjee and his aide Arpita Mukherjee have been sent to Judicial Custody till August 31 by a special court in Kolkata on Thursday in the SSC scam case.

The Kolkata High Court rejected their bail pleas and sent them to 14-day judicial custody.

Chatterjee and Mukherjee were arrested by the ED last month in connection with its investigation into irregularities in the recruitment of teachers.

ED on Wednesday visited the Presidency Correctional Home in the southern part of the city to quiz Chatterjee in connection with its probe into a school jobs scam.
