New Delhi: Dairy brands Amul and Mother Dairy announced milk prices to raise by ₹2 in its prices due to a rise in procurement and other input costs.
The companies announced that the increased rates for both brands would take effect on Wednesday.
The companies stated that the price increase is due to an increase in input costs.
Amul Gold will now cost ₹31, Amul Taaza ₹25, and Amul Shakti ₹28 for 500 ml in Ahmedabad and Saurashtra markets, according to Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, the parent firm of the Amul dairy brand.
According to Mother Dairy, the price change will apply to all of its milk varieties; full cream milk will now cost 61 cents per liter, toned milk ₹51, and double toned ₹45. The price of bulk vended milk (token milk) has increased from ₹46 to ₹48 per liter.
Mother Dairy had last increased its milk prices by ₹2 per liter in Delhi-NCR in March.
