Mumbai: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday announced the allocation of portfolios to the newly appointed ministers in the state cabinet with Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis securing major portfolios.
Devendra Fadnavis will head Home, Finance and Planning, Law and Justice, Water Resources and Command Area Development, Housing, and Energy.
Eknath Shinde will look after general administration, urban development, Information and Public Relations, Public Works Department and several other major portfolios.
BJP leader Chandrakanth Patil secured higher and technical education, textile industry and parliamentary work. Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection was assigned to Ravindra Chavan.
The portfolios allocated by the state government were approved by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyar.
