A picture collage showing war areas is widely shared on social media, claiming that it is the war between the National Resistance Force of Afghanistan and Taliban.
The collage is shared with a caption: “همین اکنون جنگ شدید میان نیروهای جبهه مقاومت ملی و گروه طا.لبا.ن در حصه اول کوهستان ولایت کاپیسا به شدت جریان دارد. مقاومتگران را از دعاهایتان فراموش نکنید صفحه مارا لایک و دنبال کنید.” (English translation: “Right now, a fierce battle between the National Resistance Front forces and the Ta group. Laba. The mountain in the first part of Kapisa province is flowing heavily. Don’t forget the resistors in your prayers.”)

NewsMobile did the fact-check, and found it to be fake.
On running a Google search with relavant keywords, we found no media reports of war between the NRF and Taliban.

On doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found the same image published by NewsIn.Ir on June 23, 2021. The report says: “Afghan military officials in Faryab province in the north of the country said that the Taliban had set fire to shops in Andkhoy city of this province.”
Anna News also reported about the incident on June 28, 2021. The report suggested that the image was of Andkhoy, where the Afghan special force units had resisted Taliban.

We were not able to find out the source of the third image. However, we can ascertain that the images are old and not associated with any recent clash between the Taliban and NRF.
Thus, we can conclude that the viral claim is misleading.
